Dear Jack,

Very sadly, my beautiful boy Jack passed away on Saturday 30th September. Jack was a big part of the Essence + Alchemy journey and my life, always by my side.

Coming up to 13 years old Jack has been slowing down, but still remained full of boundless energy in between his long naps - still wanting to chase the lawn mower, adventure in the woods and paddle in the sea. His last evening we walked to the pub, lots of treats were eaten, he had a good meal and took himself off to bed. It was unexpected and happened suddenly, it was immensely traumatic watching our boy slip away in our arms. He is buried in his favourite resting place in the garden; amongst the tall grasses, ferns and wildlife.

You were a one off, truly special. A life force with your limitless energy and strong will, nothing was going to stop you. You thought you were invincible, until you weren’t, but you kept going that was your way. Every inch of the house, garden and studio was yours and it is unbearably quiet and empty without you. I know that in time all the love and joy you brought to our life and so many will shine through.

Thank you for being by my side every day, my loyal protector and the most sensitive and beautiful soul. I’m so glad fate brought us together all those years ago, everyday has been infinitely better with you in it and I miss you deeply.
