Sending your order as a gift.

Please leave a note at the checkout if you would like a gift message. You can add an “open date” to the parcel if it’s for a special occasion. Receipts are always sent to the customer by email.


Postal Packaging.

Your items will be wrapped in natural tissue paper and carefully packaged inside a cardboard box with paper tape. We will always try to reuse postal packaging wherever possible. Please bear this in mind when opting for delivery to a safe place in case of rain.


UK Shipping.

A flat rate of £5.00 is charged for UK standard delivery for all parcels unless specified otherwise (large letter parcels) or a shipping discount code has been applied. Items are usually posted within 5 business days of payment but can take up to 7 business days during busy periods. Please also check the top of the home page for any shipping updates e.g. when the store is on holiday shutdown, busy with market/festival preparations etc.

Please note: If 'leave in a safe place or with a neighbour' is selected for delivery we can not accept any responsibility for items missing, lost or damaged.


International Shipping.

Currently shipping to a limited number of European countries, however due to long delivery times, loss and/or return of parcels shipping to all countries internationally is not possible at this time. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this decision. Please check back for updates. To confirm whether Essence + Alchemy delivers to your country, add your desired products to your cart, proceed to the cart page and check if your country is available for shipping selection.

Please note: It is recommended that you provide a mobile phone number so that couriers can contact you for delivery / customs updates.

Shipping to Europe is subject to slightly longer delivery times due to the implementation of new customs procedures. All orders to the EU will be subject to import VAT charges/fees in the country you are shopping from. This is beyond our control since the UK left the EU on 1st January 2021. Essence + Alchemy is a non-VAT registered UK business. Any parcels returned to Essence + Alchemy due to the non-collection or refusal to pay import taxes/duties will not be refunded the original shipping and return costs when the parcel is returned to Essence + Alchemy.

International shipping costs are a flat rate. To view shipping costs, add your desired products to your cart, proceed to the cart page, select your country and click "Update Your Cart Total". International parcels are tracked. You may be charged local import duties/customs charges on the arrival of your order. This is out of our control.

Delivery Times.

All orders are typically despatched within 5 business days (Monday to Friday) but please allow up to 7 days (UK shipping) and 14 days (International) before contacting Essence + Alchemy, especially during the holiday seasons when the store is busy. Orders placed after 5pm won’t be processed until the following working day. Once shipped, UK orders are generally delivered in 1-3 days and international orders within 1 week, depending upon the destination and customs processing. You will receive an email when your order is ready for dispatch with tracking information. Please note that items will not be despatched over the weekend or on UK bank holidays. If you need a product for a required date please get in touch.


Exchange / Return Policy.

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to Essence + Alchemy, each product is handmade with great care taken in formulating, blending, pouring, labelling and shipping your order. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please contact us.

Unused and unopened products still in the original packaging can be returned within 28 days of delivery, please contact us for further details on how to return your product. Returns must include the order number found on the original sales invoice, this will have been emailed to you at the time of purchase.

Refund/exchange is not guaranteed and is subject to a review of the returned product.
